It started with a full cellar and an empty memory. I wanted to understand my wine collection better: which bottles did I have, when should they be drunk, where are they stored, etc.? Existing apps lacked functionality I needed, or were too simple. Most apps also use a database to store all wines and provide users with information.
The most well-known app does this well, but lacks features I wanted to have. Apps that had more of those features didn't have a very large database, so I couldn't find many wines.
So I built Vinage 🍷, with everything I want in it to manage, understand and drink my wines:
- AI label recognition: I haven't scanned a label yet that it didn't find
- Configurable cellar layout: I finally know exactly where my wines are
- AI food pairing: which wine in my collection goes well with my meal?
- Insight into optimal drinking windows: what should stay put, what can I drink now, what is (nearly) past its peak?
- Shared cellar: with a code, my wife can see and do exactly the same as I can
...and many more features that really bring my collection to life.
Available as a PWA — no installation via the App Store, just open it in your browser and add it to your home screen.
